Thank you for voting – we won!

Everyone at Orangebox would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who supported and voted for the project ‘Snack in the Box’ in the ITV People’s Millions competition last week. We were absolutely delighted when ITV turned up the next day with a giant £50,000 cheque!

‘Snack in the Box’ is a project which will offer young people in Halifax training and employment opportunities within a professional café environment. From growing food and creating menus to catering events and running a café, young people will gain skills and experience in eating healthily, customer service, budget management and marketing; the ultimate goal being for the café to establish itself as a young people’s social enterprise.

So, a massive thanks to everybody who voted…and we look forward to launching our café in the new year!
