4:30pm - 6:00pm - Thursdays
Orange Box Choir is a singing for well-being group that meet every Thursday at Orange Box from 4:30pm to rehearse. It is made up of young people, volunteers and support staff from Orange Box, Youth Works, Project Challenge, Next Step Trust, Young Foundations, Calderdale College and Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College.
Young people with varying abilities are in the Choir; some have never sung before and some have additional needs. The Choir is a huge confidence boost for them and creates a positive experience in an environment in which they feel safe.

The Choir's first performance at the Kirklees and Calderdale Charity Lunch (KACCL) received such a fantastic reception, with not a dry eye in the house! They have already helped raise thousands of pounds for charity and go out into the community to perform and support local charities and events. It is so important for young people to have something in their lives they can focus their energy on. It provides them with the necessary support and resources to build confidence, develop relationships and skill sets. The progress we have seen in the young people we have already worked with is clear and rewarding for them and their communities.
The Orange Box Choir is a Square Chapel project as part of their community engagement programme.
